When you’re researching the best hot dogs, do you typically use Google or do you rely on word of mouth? For those of you that go with the latter, there are arguably few mouths worth listening to than that of John Fox, a man who has achieved near legendary status as a highly respected “hot dog connoisseur” of sorts. Fox has appeared in numerous magazines and television shows, you may have seen him sharing his expertise on the Travel Channel. Along with his partner Edwin “Benzee” Benz, the two are known for their popular hot dog bus tours and they also maintain a massive loyal following on social media. In fact, the two also run the Facebook group Hot Dog Nation which currently boasts over 3,000 individuals that are passionate about hot dogs.
John Fox himself recently tried Feltman’s hot dogs and we are absolutely ecstatic to say he “highly recommended” them on Hot Dog Nation, calling our hot dogs “as good a beef dog as I've had” and naming them among his top favorites. When the foremost authority publishes a social media post saying Feltman’s hot dogs are so good that they’re worth eating plain, you must be doing something right! Thank you for the praise, John Fox! In the words of Wayne Campbell and Garth Algar, “We’re not worthy!”
This update is by Feltman’s of Coney Island Hot Dogs, a symbol of American tradition and quality for decades and the proud maker of the first hot dog originally founded by its namesake Charles Feltman, the inventor of the hot dog. Feltman’s hot dogs are free of nitrates and artificial ingredients, using all natural beef to create an experience that explodes with incredible, original flavor.
